The Modular Toolbox is designed for dorm students who don’t have a lot of room and work on different projects at the same time. This modular toolbox allows for tools to be attached with an elastic band. You can choose which templates you take with you. The toolbox can be hung in your closet on a clothes hanger. Several materials and concepts were explored for the design of the toolbox. Important features for the stakeholders were easy to transport and to being able to store easily in their dorm.
An accompanying backpack was designed, to meet the stakeholders need for transporting the toolbox. The templates of the toolbox can be hung in a closet to easily store them in a dorm. An Instructable page was made to share design with fellow students.
The modular toolbox was selected to be shown at ‘Week van het Ontwerpen‘ at the ‘We are the next Generation‘ exposition.
